NUSPS Photo of the Month
The Photographic Society of NUS (NUSPS) will be starting our Photo of the Month for this school year!
Starting October 2010, we will be collecting photos from members through our flickr pool. The top 5 photos of the month will be selected and uploaded onto our facebook fan group page. Fans of NUSPS facebook group will vote for the best photo by 'liking' the photo. The photo that garners the most “likes” will be named the Photo of the Month. The POM will be displayed on our notice board as well as NUSPS website.
Here are the basic rules:
1. A theme will be released each month.
2. Photos tagged with “POM” added to the NUSPS Flickr pool each month are considered for selection.
3. No limit to the number of photos that can be added.
4. Photos that best suit the theme will be chosen. Be creative in your interpretation!
5. The photo that garners the most number of “Likes” on facebook within a week will be selected as the POM.
Why join?
It’s a chance for you to showcase your talents as a photographer to others with the same interest. Not only that, if your photo wins the Photo of the Month, you win a NUSPS T-shirt and a pair of tickets to next year’s Montage!

This week's POW is by tansc123. We choose this photo mainly because of the interesting perspective:) The number of photos added to our pool has declined a bit...you guys must be mugging for mid term i suppose, haha! On the other hand, number of members in the pool has just crossed the 90 mark. Hope to see more photo coming up!

This week we don't have many photos, but the quality is superb. And the winner this week is chengyu's infra-red version of Singapore Botanical Garden:) Very nice photos, congrats!
And CNY is just around the corner! The NUS photographic society sincerely wish you a happy Chinese new year!:) (and please shoot more photos haha)

The NUSPS Photo of the week is back! A big thank you to those who have been supporting and actively contributing to our flickr group. The POW session of our weekly meeting is always the most enjoyable, at least to me...(oops). Hope to see more nice photos coming in!

NUSPS POW #4!
This week we have two POWs again (that proves our taste are rather similar :P). Good work, Raison D'etre and Derek!
The POWs of last month has already been pasted on our Notice Board. In case you don't know where, it is just located along the corridor that links the Central Library and FASS, and it is the only green board there so should be rather outstanding. :) However due to space constraint we have to put Zhang Xie's bird (one of POW# 0) into this month's, with the two POWs below.
And as the exams are coming, the NUSPS committee has decided to pause the POW selection for one month and will resume by December. Good luck everyone and Happy Mugging! :)

This week we had less photo, probably because exams are drawing near...
Originally we planned to put up the photos on the notice board after yesterday's meeting, however we realized that we can't get the original sized POW #3 in time. So the new plan is to print out and put up the POWs on the first Friday of the month, and that is next week. So POWs of Oct 2008, remember to check out the NUSPS Notice Board after next Friday!
